Privacy Policy for UPI Quick QR

UPI Quick QR is a Chrome extension that helps users generate scannable UPI payment QR codes from UPI IDs selected on webpages or entered manually.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is handled.

2. Information the Extension Accesses

UPI Quick QR may access the following information when you use its features:

Selected webpage text: When you select text on a webpage, the extension checks whether it contains a valid UPI ID.
Manually entered UPI IDs: If you enter a UPI ID in the extension popup, it uses that ID to generate a QR code.
Payment amounts: If you enter an optional amount, it is included in the generated payment QR code.

This information is processed locally in your browser to provide the extension’s functionality.

3. How Information Is Used

The information accessed by the extension is used only to:

Identify a UPI ID from text you select.
Generate a UPI payment URI.
Create a scannable QR code.
Include an optional payment amount.
Copy the generated QR image when you choose the Copy QR Code option.

UPI Quick QR does not transmit selected webpage text, UPI IDs, payment amounts, or generated QR codes to the developer or any external server.

The extension does not maintain a database of your UPI IDs or payment activity. QR generation and UPI ID processing take place locally in your browser using bundled code.

The extension does not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties.

5. Clipboard and Downloads

If you choose Copy QR Code, the extension copies the generated QR image to your clipboard.

If you choose to download the QR code, the image is downloaded to your device.

These actions happen only when you initiate them.

6. Third-Party Websites

The extension may include a link to Buy Me a Coffee. If you choose to visit that website, its own privacy policy and terms apply.

UPI Quick QR does not control how third-party websites collect or process information.

7. Security and Payments

UPI Quick QR generates QR codes but does not initiate, process, or complete payments.

Always verify the recipient’s UPI ID and payment amount in your UPI app before approving a transaction.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension’s functionality or data practices change. Any updated version will be published at this same URL.
